DC Modern Luxury,

"Natural Woman" by Kate Templin, March 2006

Despite the mild winter (what beats dining al fresco in January?), most likely you're still impatient for spring's balmy breezes and beautiful blooms. Luckily we've found DC jewelry designer Emma Villedrouin, whose naturally inspired creations will hold you over until your first bulb sprouts.

Villedrouin uses 18-karat gold and precious and semi-precious stones, including fire opal and tourmaline, in pieces that subtly evoke your favorite bits of nature. She says her designs are "never meant to look botanically correct," but we think they're sure to put a spring in your step.

Interested in a custom-made design? Just make an appointment and watch your dream piece come to life before your eyes. And it's sure to last much longer than your tulip bed.
